Workshops with Steven Sexton:
One thing that I loved from Steven's 1st session today was that when the students are about to partake in science, they do NOT have to bring a pen, pencil or paper! Science is about interacting and experimenting! Doing things! The teacher does the writing :)
Natural Disaster Topic with Year 2 & 3's:
This was a social science and science unit that I implemented during my second practicum. The students were finishing off a topic on weather, and this unit also tied in with the current natural disasters happening around the world.

We also carried out the activity of putting together our own survival kits, and choosing the most sensible things to go in them after we had talked about this.
